Your first new patient appointment
Step 1 – Welcome
Take your first step through the door and experience our friendly team and calm practice environment! We warmly welcome you and show you our comfortable waiting area and facilities. We may ask you to fill out some forms for our records.
Step 2 – Discussion
At your appointment time, we invite you into one of our state-of-the-art surgeries for your consultation. We begin with an informal chat about you, your past dental care, and if you have any worries or concerns. If you’re feeling nervous, please tell us so we can help you feel more relaxed.
Step 3 – Examination
The main part of your new patient appointment is the examination. This is slightly longer than your subsequent check-ups, as we take the time to look closely at all areas of your mouth. We examine your teeth, gums and soft tissues, and take digital x-rays if needed. We also carry out an oral cancer screening as standard.
Step 4 – Further treatment
We discuss our findings with you, including the need for any further treatment, if required. Our preventive and conservative approach helps you maintain healthy teeth and gums between your check up appointments.
