Peter qualified from King’s College Hospital, London, in 1979. He then spent the next year working as a houseman at King’s College Hospital in oral and maxillofacial surgery, children’s dentistry and periodontics. Dedicated to furthering his skills, Peter gained a Licentiate in Dental Surgery in 1980, and a Membership of General Dental Practitioners in 1992, both from the Royal College of Surgeons England.
After Peter left King’s College Hospital, he spent two years working as a dental surgeon for the Grenfell Foundation in Canada, serving healthcare to the northern peninsula of Newfoundland and Labrador. He returned to England to practice dentistry in London in 1982.
Peter joined Grand Avenue Dental Practice in Worthing in 1984, with a view to becoming a partner and owner. He achieved this in 1986, and continues to practice as one of two existing partners / owners. Peter has served as a vocational dental trainer for several years, mentoring newly qualified dentists in the practice.
Peter enjoys all aspects of general dentistry. He has studied widely to expand his knowledge, in particular with the Rosenthal Institute of New York, where he gained a Master’s level achievement in Aesthetic Dentistry. Peter has also completed a year-long course in cosmetic and restorative dentistry with Dr Chris Orr, and is a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Before becoming a dentist, Peter achieved a BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences. He has taken this interest further in his garden, particularly in growing vegetables. Outside of dentistry, Peter’s interests include reading, windsurfing, skiing and tennis.
