Peter Kaslik

Peter qualified from King’s College Hospital, London, in 1979. He then spent the next year working as a houseman at King’s College Hospital in oral and maxillofacial surgery, children’s dentistry and periodontics. Dedicated to furthering his skills, Peter gained a Licentiate in Dental Surgery in 1980, and a Membership of General Dental Practitioners in 1992, both from the Royal College of Surgeons England.

After Peter left King’s College Hospital, he spent two years working as a dental surgeon for the Grenfell Foundation in Canada, serving healthcare to the northern peninsula of Newfoundland and Labrador. He returned to England to practice dentistry in London in 1982.

Peter joined Grand Avenue Dental Practice in Worthing in 1984, with a view to becoming a partner and owner. He achieved this in 1986, and continues to practice as one of two existing partners / owners. Peter has served as a vocational dental trainer for several years, mentoring newly qualified dentists in the practice.

Peter enjoys all aspects of general dentistry. He has studied widely to expand his knowledge, in particular with the Rosenthal Institute of New York, where he gained a Master’s level achievement in Aesthetic Dentistry. Peter has also completed a year-long course in cosmetic and restorative dentistry with Dr Chris Orr, and is a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Before becoming a dentist, Peter achieved a BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences. He has taken this interest further in his garden, particularly in growing vegetables. Outside of dentistry, Peter’s interests include reading, windsurfing, skiing and tennis.

Madhu graduated in 1998 and moved to the UK in 2004, where he successfully completed his qualifying exams to practise dentistry. Since then, he has built a wealth of experience across the country, beginning his UK career in Cornwall and later spending several years practicing in Hastings. In 2014, he moved to Worthing and became a partner at Grand Avenue Dental Practice alongside Peter Kaslik.

Madhu is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-focused care. He has a strong interest in aesthetic and restorative dentistry, combining advanced techniques with a gentle approach to help patients achieve healthy, confident smiles.

A firm believer in lifelong learning, Madhu has completed several prestigious postgraduate qualifications, including a two-year implant course at the Royal College of Surgeons of England followed by the Membership in Implant Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSed).

Madhu has also worked as a trainer for newly qualified dentists and served as an honorary clinical teacher at King’s Dental Hospital. While he found teaching highly rewarding, he now focuses fully on providing the highest standard of care in general practice.

Outside of dentistry, Madhu enjoys reading, playing cricket, and following major sports. He also enjoys participating in running events and hopes to complete a marathon in the near future. He is married to Meena, who is also a dentist, and they have two daughters currently at university.

Madhu treats every patient with the same care and respect he would offer his own family and is committed to helping them feel at ease throughout their dental journey.

Gaynor Fletcher

Gaynor qualified from Manchester University Dental Hospital in 1989 and, since then, thoroughly enjoys working as a dentist at Grand Avenue Dental Practice.

She has a wealth of clinical experience backed up with ongoing postgraduate training to improve her knowledge and skills so that she can provide the very best she can for her many longstanding patients.

Gaynor’s postgraduate training includes restorative dentistry at the Eastman Dental Hospital in London, cosmetic dentistry in London, and, more recently, orthodontics, many of which have been year-long or more courses. Gaynor is trained in Invisalign and fixed cosmetic braces.

Gaynor likes caring for the whole family’s dental well-being. Her friendly yet professional manner helps to put everyone at ease whilst helping them to maintain healthy teeth and gums, combined with a great smile.

Gaynor is married with two grown-up sons who keep her busy, or is it she who keeps them busy… especially outdoors!

Catherine Harris

Catherine qualified from the Royal London Hospital in 1995, and joined the team at Grand Avenue Dental Practice in the same year.

Catherine is interested in the full range of general dentistry, helping her patients achieve a great level of oral hygiene. She has a calm and caring approach which puts her patients at ease with regular visits.

Outside of work, Catherine’s interests include reading and motor racing, although watching rather than partaking! She is an avid walker and enjoys spending time at Petworth House, where she is a volunteer.

Meena Kalakonda

Meena qualified as a dentist in India in 1998 and went on to achieve a postgraduate qualification in oral surgery in 2004. She then moved to England to join her husband, Madhu, and completed the certification needed by the General Dental Council in order to practice dentistry in the UK. Meena pursued further postgraduate qualifications and achieved her MFDS from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2008. Before joining the team at Grand Avenue, Meena worked in dental practices across Sussex for eight years.

Meena is softly spoken by nature, and spends time building a rapport with her patients while looking after their oral health. She brings a holistic approach to her dentistry, also focusing on her patients’ wellbeing.

While working at Grand Avenue, Meena completed a one-year course in aesthetic and restorative dentistry with renowned dentist Dr Chris Orr. This has helped her take her dental treatments to a higher standard, giving her patients an elevated experience.

Meena has two daughters, and loves to spend time with them whenever possible. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, yoga, cooking Indian food and trying new recipes.

Amit Mehta

Amit qualified from the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in 2005. He joined Grand Avenue Dental Practice in 2006 and has greatly enjoyed building strong, long-lasting relationships with his patients.

Amit has continued his studies by gaining Membership to the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons (MJDF RCS Eng) in 2009. He has completed a year-long certificate in Cosmetic Dentistry and Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry in 2012 with the internationally-renowned Dr Chris Orr. Most recently, Amit has completed a three-year Master’s degree in Endodontics (root canal treatment). Amit enjoys all aspects of general dentistry but has a particular interest in Endodontics. He has been accepting referrals from other dentists for complex cases.

Amit is one of only a very small number of dentists nationally who work exclusively using a dental microscope, allowing him to offer very precise, minimally-invasive dentistry. This leads to early identification of decay in teeth and, therefore, preservation of as much of the tooth as possible with smaller fillings.

Outside of spending time with his two young children, Amit loves to cook, travel, and enjoys a physical challenge, having run the Paris Marathon, completed a cross-country ski marathon, and enjoyed numerous long walks.

Dr. Jayashree Bala is an experienced general dental practitioner with over 24 years in clinical practice and a special interest in Cosmetic Dentistry, Oral Surgery, and Dental Implants. After qualifying in India, she completed her IQE in London and earned the MJDF at the Royal College of Surgeons. She holds a Master’s degree in Dental Implantology from the University of Bristol and is also a certified Invisalign provider.

Known for her gentle approach and attention to detail, Dr. Bala combines surgical expertise with advanced aesthetic techniques, and a strong focus on patient comfort and satisfaction to deliver natural, confident smiles. She is also passionate about mentoring young dentists and supporting their professional development.

Outside of work, she enjoys family time, cycling, yoga, travel, reading, spirituality, and DIY.

Vinoja Indra

Dr. Vinoja qualified from Queen Mary University of London (formerly known as The London Hospital) in 1997. Since then, she has gained extensive experience in all aspects of general dentistry.

Early in her career, Vinoja worked for two years in the Maxillofacial Unit within hospital settings, where she developed valuable skills in oral surgery.

She is committed to continuous professional development and has attended numerous short and day courses throughout her career. In 2005, she achieved Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS). She went on to complete a one-year Certificate in Restorative Dentistry at the renowned Eastman Dental Institute in 2008. Most recently, she obtained her Master’s degree in Endodontology through the Simply Endo program at the University of Chester, a rigorous three-year course focusing on advanced root canal treatment.

Vinoja is passionate about providing high-quality dentistry and takes pride in creating a calm, comfortable environment for her patients. She strives to make every dental experience as gentle and pain-free as possible.

Outside of dentistry, Vinoja enjoys nature walks, practicing yoga, and spending time with family and friends.

Jessica qualified as a dental hygienist from King’s College London in April 2022 and joined the practice part-time in the same year. She was a dental nurse for five years before choosing to retrain and focus on becoming a hygienist.

Jessica worked at an implant centre for several years before joining the Grand Avenue team full time. She holds a BTEC in promotion of oral health and radiography.

Outside of dentistry, Jessica is kept very busy by her little boy! She has a love of baking and enjoys keeping fit with Clubbersize and Zumba.

Lucy loves to run for fitness, including taking part in marathons. In her spare time, she enjoys drawing, painting and making jewellery. Her other interests include films, Lego and Star Wars.

In 2012, Nicky graduated from the University of Kent with a first class Bachelor of Science in Primary Dental Care. She has written articles for a variety of dental publications and her keen interest in continuing professional development has led her to develop websites for dental nurses and hygienists. Nicky has also organised and presented lectures for other dental care professionals.

Nicky is passionate about her work and is committed to helping her patients improve their oral health in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Outside of work, Nicky is married and has two grown-up children. Her hobbies include cruising, visiting Spain, and trying to keep fit.

Laura joined Grand Avenue Dental Practice in September 2024, shortly after qualifying as a Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist, having graduated with a First Class BSc (Hons) degree from the University of Portsmouth. She also works as an Oral Health Educator, offering tailored advice to members of the community to help improve their oral health and prevent dental problems from arising. Before her dental career, Laura spent six years working in the legal profession following the completion of a Law degree from the University of Reading in 2015.

In her free time, Laura enjoys family walks with her dog, socialising with friends, and travelling.

Since qualifying, she has gained valuable experience working in practices across Sussex and has also served as a freelance Dental Health Educator for Dentocare, promoting the importance of oral hygiene, particularly for orthodontic patients.

Nikki joined Grand Avenue Dental Practice in 2020 and is passionate about helping patients maintain healthy smiles through education and gentle, effective care. She is currently undertaking a placement in a Special Care Paediatric Unit to further develop her skills in providing dental treatment for children and patients with additional needs.

Outside of work, Nikki enjoys spending quality time with her young family, taking her dog for walks, and travelling.

George joined the practice in 1998, initially working as a receptionist and cover nurse. Her dedication and adaptability quickly saw her transition into a more administrative role in 2003, and by 2009 she had taken on the position of Registered Manager.

In 2013, George furthered her leadership skills by achieving the ILM Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Leadership and Executive Management from Chichester College. She is also certified in IOSH Managing Safely, ensuring that the practice operates to the highest standards of safety and compliance. As the Registered Manager with the CQC, George plays a key role in maintaining a well-run, patient-focused environment.

Driven by a passion for personal and professional development, George takes great pride in supporting the growth of the team. Her commitment extends beyond the practice—she also consults with other dental practices across the country, advising on compliance and effective practice management.

Outside of work, George enjoys socialising and entertaining friends and family. A keen sports enthusiast, she especially loves horseracing and often explores new cities to broaden her horizons and seek fresh inspiration.

Rachel began her career in dentistry in 2004, qualifying as a Dental Nurse with an NVQ Level 3 in Oral Healthcare: Dental Nursing. She joined Grand Avenue Dental Practice in 2005, bringing her clinical skills and warm, professional manner to the team.

In 2011, Rachel began taking on administrative duties one day a week, and following her return from maternity leave in 2013, she transitioned into a full-time office role. Since then, she has expanded her responsibilities to include compliance, administration, and bookkeeping—playing a vital role in the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. Rachel has also gained a Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration, further supporting her commitment to professional growth and operational excellence.

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys staying active at the gym, spending quality time with her family, and socialising with friends.
